The woman in the grocery store parking lot the other day, the one who accidentally hit her car’s panic button again while stuffing her keys into the front right pocket of her jeans? Yeah. That was me, moving through life with my usual grace, beauty and stealth.
In case you were wondering…

LOL! I did it once when my car was in the driveway. The way our house is designed (and the volumn on the TV), I didn’t hear it!! A neighbor rang the bell to let me know, how embarrassing.
Katie, I bet! I’m not, though. You’d never have let me live it down! π
Oh, Sandi, I wish I’d thought of doing something like that! Next time I must think faster instead of panicking and feeling stupid.
LOL, Leafprobably! That’s probably not a bad strategy.
Mike, you crack me up! And, yeah, I can see the benefit of manual locks — or at least not having to deal with a panic button.
SuRi, that’s hilarious! Well, maybe not to you or your neighbors, but I’m just glad to know I’m not alone.
I’ve done that with my toddler usually and I have a heck of a time shutting it off and running after her.. So usually it goes on for a while. π
I thought that was you…
Have a great weekend!
LOL… nice. Hey. would you rather have this kind of life, or be boring?
Exactly.
I never hit the panic button. But, I open the trunk every time I try to lock or unlock the doors! I think my co-workers think that I’m OCD, checking the trunk before I leave the parking lot. The keyfob must be wired incorrectly; I suspect yours is too — nothing to do with that right pocket.
I hit the panic button when I LOVE MONEY comes on VH1. Because that means society’s collapse is imminent.
(Hey, are you going to nationals??? Come find me! We need to have lunch together again! I’ll get the giant salad this time.)
Ooh, Keri, that must be frustrating!
LOL, Muse! Yes, it was me. π
Excellent point, Kyle. Being boring is definitely overrated.
Cam, that would be a huge pain, too! And, yes, it’s definitely the keyfob’s fault, not yours (or mine). π
LOL, Jess! And, yes, I’m off to Nationals next week. More info in your email…
