Fabulous interview, Joanne! Your book sounds great, and I’m anxious to read it. Have no clue who exactly sets up those invisible Women Fiction rules, and what’s behind it. I just know I love reading and writing them. So glad you enjoyed the RWA conference too. I love them.

Having grown up a professor’s daughter in a town built for and around a small college, I can certainly attest to the many stories begging to to be writiten about the endless gossip that is always hovering around the campus gates. Refreshing viewpoint, Joanne. I’m enrolled in a writing program at a local college and have had tepid arguments with one of my profs (male) over the fact that I feel fiction should be entertaining as opposed to something the reader has to dissect and analyze, looking for all the motifs/themes. What fun is that?

Thanks so much for keeping it real, as well as backing up my theory of what makes a great read.

I wonder if I can get my professor to read your book…hmm?
